First Day at a NEW School

Asa, Ben and Sophie started school today, 2 week after the County School District. They started a New Charter school in town and these 3 are lucky enough to be some of the first students to attend!

We know Ben's teacher really well, and the kids know Sophie's teacher as she was a sub at their old school. And all of the grades (it is a k-8 school) are learning Spanish, built in to the curriculum! And they have Uniforms! Made school shopping nice and easy and a little easier on the pocket book!

The kids were All VERY excited to go to school today. I think they were a little bored with all of their friends in school already!

Sophie was SO excited and had been Begging for pierced ears for months, Mom finally caved! She sat in the chair, fidgetting, excited, and starting to get a little nervous.









There were 2 techs, working together. Poor Sophie, she went quickly from Smiling to trying NOT to cry--because it did hurt, just like Mom & Katy said it would! The look on her face when they snapped those guns! I bit more shocked than what you see here-and she had a Death Grip on Mom's hands during the whole process!







But, a little numbing cream, and a look at the pretty 'diamond' studs IN her ears, and Sophie is a HAPPY girl with PIERCED ears!!

Our Baby is Growing up!

Tuesday morning, Sophie was SO excited-she had a LOOSE TOOTH!!

And it was REALLY WiGgLeY!!

I didn't think she'd make it through her morning at school without loosing it. She was very worried that Daddy would try to pull it out when he got home. But, she didn't need to worry, it fell out all on it's own Tuesday afternoon, with her brothers just home from school!

Apparently, someone told her that when you start loosing teeth, you can go to 1st grade! She though that she'd be able to go to 1st Grade today, since she'd lost her tooth!! Ahwwwwww!!

She is already working on a second loose tooth, right next to the one that fell out. It won't be too long before she's Completely Toothless and singing "All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth!" (Yes, yes, we are cheesey!)
