Ben turned 8 this year, jeepers-time is Flying by!
June was our Wet month-it rained 28 days of this month-Good, Hard rain nearly EVERY afternoon (and NOT our usual Northern Nevada, barely a sprinkle rain)- so I figured a morning party in the park would be safe. The kids had enough time to play-a little, Ben opened his presents and had cupcakes. And then it started to lightning and thunder and then the rain came!Still had fun, and Denny had time (BARELY) to climb the tallest tree in the park, almost to the very top! "Why?" you may ask...There was a ball stuck in the tree, and Denny wanted to get it out! He was still at the top when the lightning & thunder started to roll in! The nut!
July 4th!
Our Annual BBQ in the park:The rains had quit by July 4th, but the temperature was still REALLY nice-mid to high 80's! Warm enough for a The Water Fight!
The Big Guns & a couple of Big Tubs of water...
makes for some SOAKING wet kids!
We BBQ'd for lunch, kicked back and visited, relaxed, and played games (cards and marbles)!
Terri brought crafts again-the Kids love this, so do the adults-the kids are pretty quiet when they are concentrating on painting 'stained glass', beading and tatoo-ing each other!
Uncle Tim took his 2 sons and Asa GeoCaching...I still don't really understand what this is! Here they are posing for the camera phone! CrAzY BoYs!!!
Then BBQ's again for dinner, leaving us just enough time to clean up and pack up before dark and before...

The Annual Rain Gutter Regata was mid-July! Here is most of the Pack and the winners-Ben came in 3rd!

July 24: Denny & April braved the trails of Lamoille Canyon with 7 kids (respective spouses had to work):
They hiked up to Island Lake, played in the water, only 3 (Denny, Asa & Shanie) were daring enough to swim in that Ice Cold Water clear out to the Island!
The report was the weather was great, not too hot, the water COLD, but refreshing, and the views-beautiful!
