Basketball-are we surprised?!

Of course, Denny's whole family has played basketball, for generations! Now, Asa's carrying on. Asa has been practicing for the past 2 weeks, and this evening was his first game!

The basketball program is run by PAL (Police Athletic League), and the 3rd/4th grade league does not keep score or any type of stats. They just learn to play the game! So, I couldn't tell you what the score was, although I can say that our players need to practice the actual shots!

But it was a lot of fun watching these 8-9 year old boys running up and down the court, LOTS of travelling, some dribbling, and more than expected shots at the basket! Asa is very good at defending. And he seems to LOVE guarding the other team's players!
